Bribe...

Yes, I totally bribed my kids! (With donuts, at that!) It was such a beautiful night and I just happened to drive past the most fantastic field of flowers! We raced home, changed the kids in the car and off to take pics. I don't usually attempt this alone (at least with my kiddos). It seems as though the kids take their doughnuts very seriously! :)

The 'tri' family of 'C' Michaels!

Today was the big day! Our first triathlon. Both older kiddos have spent the last week 'training'. Chad and I have found this nothing short of hilarious. Caelyn learned to ride her bike without training wheels while Carson was busy running laps around the yard. When asked to

come inside for dinner Carson said, 'Dad, can I please finish this lap?' So funny.

Anyways, Chad and I had a great first time run. Chad has been pretty sick this week, and (no surprise) did very well. He placed 3rd in his age group! I finished 1st in my age group and less than 2 minutes behind the 3rd place female. All in all it was a great morning. I honestly don't think I have ever seen the kids so excited about exercising!
