Happy Halloween!

Fall festival..

Caelyn's school had a fall festival yesterday. Complete with games, candy, crafts and a hayride. This is teacher Mrs. Deanna with princess 'Belle'.

Princess 'Belle' and Go-Go Dancer- Abbey.
Belle & Tinkerbell (best friend Anna)

Anna bought her and Caelyn matching shirts...too cute!
Pumpkin festivities...

Notice the headband from Princess Belle's costume. She wore it all day.

We had one of the coldest days on record for October. The kids and I braved soccer practice. Each kid work 3 shirts, coats, 2 hats, gloves, 2 pants and 3 pair of socks- no kidding. Needless to say I didn't hear one complaint about being cold. Going potty, not so lucky.
The last day of soccer was yesterday. We, unfortunately, forgot to prepare Carson for this. As we were leaving he was honestly in tears. He kept running back to his coaches giving them hugs. He has gotten so quick in just 8 short weeks! He is really looking forward to playing in hte spring.

Plans for tonight include a Halloween party & trick-or-treating. We'll see who gives out first, the kids or mommy!

Fall in the Carolinas...

Well, the kids have been itching to go to the Pumpkin Patch. This is one of the few honest traditions that we have. My computer only hsa pictures back through 2005... so see what you think. Times flies, it honestly feels like this was just yesterday.

2005- Too cute....

2006......

2007...... Miss the long hair.

2008.....

Not too much else happenening this week. Their last week of soccer is coming up... These were taken several weeks ago, I forgot to post them. This one of Carson is a classic!

Carson will be getting his first report card, and next week we have a parent-teacher conference. I'm nervous for him! This was an e-mail I received from his teacher, '...I assessed Carson on report card items and he has so much excitement in reading and enjoys it so. I just wish all kids shared that joy and happines for reading and learning like he does. ' Too sweet. We are so lucky to have a great teacher, she really challenges him and gives him the attention he needs.
As for Halloween, Chad will be working. We have a Halloween party to go to and some friends have volunteered to help me take the kids out. What a challenge with 2 kids in costumes when I can barely walk up the driveway myself! They really want to paint my belly, we'll see...
Caelyn has an opthamology apt in the morning. As most of you know, we have been concerned about her vision for about 2 years. My attempts at getting her an apt at age 2 failed, and now we are seeing a pediatric specialist. We will keep you updated.

Can't keep up,,,,

Between my growing belly and Carson's growing vocabulary I'm having trouble keeping up these days!!

At school Carson and his class were learning about Johnny Appleseed. They had a day where they sampled apple 'stuff'. Apple juice, apple sauce, apple cinnamon cheerios and of course apples. Carson came home from school asking me if I knew what it was called when apples go brown. Why of course, it's called oxidation! Exactly what I thought my kindergartner would be learning!

We were having difficulties getting Caelyn to eat at meal times. She won't sit still, she plays.... so we have solved the dilemma! She loves Carrigan's highchair, and ate her entire meal for the first time in weeks! Whatever works!

Grandma came to visit for a whole week! We had lots of fun...
Thanks to Pops & Nana for the adorable jammies! These are now the kids favorites, now if we could just get some cooler weather so they don't sweat to death in them!
Just have to add these pictures in, I can't seem to get enough of these cute kids!!

Birthday lunch!

Happy Birthday princess bit!!!

Caelyn chose to go to Red Robin for her birthday lunch! She got a special treat because Carson was still in school! She was completely surprised when they sang 'happy birthday' and brought her ice cream! What a big girl!!
