Baby days, again....

Life with 3 kids! Wow! Carrigan is absolutley amazing, beautiful, petite and sweet. We are loving having a baby around. Carson and Caelyn are always willing to help, except for diaper changes! We had her first and second dr's apt's this week. Her weight was down to 6 pounds 8 ounces both Monday and Wednesday. And because she had such bad bruising during delivery she was more at risk for jaundice. She was pretty yellow Monday morning, but a blood test confirmed nothing to worry about. We are hoping she will be back at her birth weight by Wednesday. Here are some updated pictures....

Black eyes and all...

We all enjoyed the Salisbury Parade on Wednesday. We camped out in the back of the van all afternoon to wait for Santa!
The chair for the nursery was finally delivered! Chad finished the lighting on the cabinets, so almost done! Just a couple of things to hang on the walls!

Here is Carson's new best friend! This is James and jody's new puppy Madeline. Carson has fallen in love!

Carson came home from school Tuesday like this! Too cute! His Indian name is 'Hooting Owl'! We have an Indian name for Jake too is 'Puking dog'!

Baby Carrigan!

Introducing Carrigan Grace Michael! The induction went well. We arrived at the hospital around 0700. The flood gates released at 8:00 (my water was broken). Lots and lots of fluid (as expected). I had very few small contractions, even after walking and the birthing ball. I was dilated to 5 cm (even without contractions) by noon and was then started Pitocin about 12:00. by 2:30 I was 5-6 and hurting. Dr. Murphy, my best friend/anesthesia helped me with an epidural and things progressed quickly. Daddy delivered her! Official time was 4:13. She was 7 pounds 2 ounces and a whopping 20 inches long. No wonder she was wedged under my rib cage. She has done excellent. The nurses are still taking some precautions because she is still considered a preemie. Her initial blood sugar was very low at 31, but quickly came up. It has since been fine. We are anticipating an early discharge, and will be going home to 2 VERY anxious kids!!

Thanks to everyone for thoughts and prayers and keeping our lives running while we are away!

Trip to the Mountains....

We were thinking that a sure fire way to go into labor is go out of town! We decided Sunday morning that we needed a little 'snow hunt'. It snowed in the mountains for the first time this season... so we jumped in the car and went in search! The kids were hysterical! And we finally got what we were looking for....

We visited Beech Mountain, not open until next weekend. But still lots of snow!
The town of Beech Mountain has their own sled run. They were making snow. Carson didn't want to stop, he was drenched from head to toe! Caelyn went once and hated it. The snow covered her face, up the nose, eyebrows and eyelashes and all! We stayed in the car, in the warm car!

What a fantastic day! (It was only 6:15!!)oh, no labor.....

It's finally November!!!

So here are a few of the Halloween pictures... We didn't take too many. The first ones are from the Halloween party we went to. There were tons of balloons, the older kids thought it was great fun to pop the balloons. Caelyn spent about 20 minutes picking up all of the pieces and putting them in the trash. Toward the end she would stand next to the child popping the balloon and wait for them to finish so she could clean up! too funny.

I was so lucky to have James and Jody accompany me. I don't know what I would have done without them.
This was absolutely hilarious. The owners actually dug a hole where they let someone stand in the hole. He talked to the kids, it was great. Carson thought it was funny. Caelyn.... not so much!
